The fence is tubular steel with an adjustable magnified hairline indicator for superior readability. Something we noticed and really liked on this stand was that the front edge sits just a bit lower than the saw table, so stock slides smooth as silk without catching. The optional add-ons are great, too: the PM2715XL extension adds a router table to your saw and increases rip capacity to an awesome 49 inches. An outfeed table is available, too.
